Just Sayin…
No way is this “an amazing piece of work”, but it ain’t bad for someone that has only known Moho for a few weeks, and isn’t trying to tell a story. 🙂
Story Behind
I started this with Callipeg (ipad animation), who has a monthly instagram theme, if you want to join the group and create something.
“Rabbits”.
At first I was going to draw a rabbit eating carrot cake (I still will.) Then I realized that it’s Pride month, lets celebrate it!
When I finished, I realized how good this would be to learn Moho with. That program excels at characters, that are rigged as puppets. So i spent a week redoing the art into vector format, and figuring out how to move the legs. 🙃
Fave Part
- The bubbles! There are probably better ways to add them, but I used the “follow the path” tool. First you just make a path, the bubble will follow, then add the bubble on a different layer, and connect the two with that tool.
I thought it was cool that you could expand the size of the bubble as it floats, and Moho will do the math to make that change sooo smooooth. I would do that kind of stuff in traditional animation, but will take weeks! This time? 3-4 hours, only cuz I didn’t know what I was doing (and I still, probably did it the hard way.) - That I didn’t have to draw that bunny multiple times… granted he’s not moving much. But if he was, I only work out each new pose ONCE, where only minor tweaks may be needed.
Check it out!
It’s a youtube “short” and won’t let me embed it.
