The first of 2 sold out nights with the seattle symphony Unlike a few years ago, when Brandi only played about 5 songs with the symphony, this year she did 14! Not only that, but they were the opening act as well, and 5 songs just as a band 🙂
SET LIST: (opening set without orchestra) What Can I Say, Closer to You, Have You Ever, Dying Day, Crazy (Solo)
Intermission
60 Years On, Oh Dear, Looking Out, Fall Apart Again, Before it Breaks, I Will, Shadow on the Wall, Cannonball, Dreams, Turpentine, The Story
Encore: Folsom Blues, Pride and Joy, Hallelujah
The show sounded GREAT, and the audience was involved – clapping loudly along to the fast songs. There will be another show Sunday night (which I sadly won’t be at).
If I have only one slight complaint, I wish I could turn off the drums and electric guitars, and hear more of the symphony…. but I’m happy either way.
While I was pretty close, I was a tad too far away to get many good pics from my small camera. Sigh….
Videos are already sprouting up on YouTube, so take a look if interested. I added “I will”.
I hope that someone uploads the version of “looking out” with the symphony..its my fav song.
Tonight is her secret show at Neumos…. I won’t have my SLR, but hope to have at least a few photos to share from my small camera.
